About financing and registrations........... One of the biggest changes in 2005 was the law that passed requiring all manufactured vehicles to be VIN plated and registered. This required that all manufacturers be licenced and become dealers to sell their own vehicles. What this did was legitamize our industry and make us step up to the plate. Now, you don’ t have to go the the DMV, go to the CHP and then back to the DMV to finish up your registration paperwork. Your car is ready to go off the lot, just like your regular automobile - VIN. plated, registration and green stickers. For those of you who did not finance, your pink slip is mailed to you, listing RAW Motorsports as your manufacturer. No more “Special Construction”, like in the old days. Doing all this made it easier to seek financing and insurance for these types of vehicles. We are finally seen as a real industry and the consumer gets all the benefits! 2007 Brought smog changes. Our industry came under fire (for lack of a better word) by the California Air Resource Board. RAW again stepped up to the plate by working with CARB to facilitate the changes necessary for our cars to be smog compliant. What came from this long drawn-out process was better fuel efficiency and very little loss of HP. There were no ugly smog pumps and such that we envisioned would happen. Visually there is no difference except for the fact you have a new sticker on your motor certifying they are CARB compliant.
